From Kinesiology to Kid-Focused Vision Care

Originally from Northern California, Dr. Johnson earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at San Diego State University. Her early interest in how the body moves—and how that movement affects quality of life—naturally evolved into a passion for pediatric eye development.

Advanced Pediatric Training and Residency

After earning her Doctor of Optometry degree at SUNY College of Optometry in Manhattan, Dr. Johnson completed a competitive residency in Pediatrics at the New England College of Optometry in Boston.

She returned to New York to join The Pediatric Eye Center, where she continues to do what she loves most: helping kids see clearly and confidently.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Johnson serves as a volunteer leader with VOSH International, a nonprofit that brings high-quality eye care to underserved communities around the world.

Outside the Office

Dr. Johnson leads an active lifestyle outside of work—she’s an avid rock climber, snowboarder, singer, and home cook. Whether she’s in the mountains or the kitchen, her creativity and drive come through in everything she does.
