Iris had ptosis (droopy eyelid) surgery on her left upper lid. On the left is how she looked before surgery. Beautiful, and with a droopy left upper lid.
During Iris' pre-op office evaluation, Dr. Lichtenstein placed a special eyedrop in her left eye. Based on how Iris responded to this eyedrop, she was able to have a surgery under the eyelid. There was no need to cut her skin, and the absorbable stitches under her lid will dissolve in about 2 weeks.
On the left is Iris with Dr. Lichtenstein at Post-Op day #5. Some bruising and a little bit of swelling. We can expect the eyelid to elevate another 0.5 to 1.0 mm as the swelling resolves in the upcoming weeks.
Parents & Iris happy! Dr. Lichtenstein therefore happy!
